History
Thomas L. Frey received his Bachelor of Science in Project Management
from the School of Technology at Purdue University, West Lafayette
Indiana in May 1990. Thomas Frey is currently an independent contractor
and consultant working with firms in the greater Los Angeles area. As a
Project Controls Specialist, Thomas has worked with companies in the
areas of Waste Water Treatment Plant Construction, Design Development of
Offshore Oil Production Systems, Tenant Improvement and Abatement,
Cutting Edge Science R&D, Commercial Construction, Highway Improvements
and Implementation of Project Management Information Systems. Thomas
Frey is the author of articles that have been printed in the Primavera
User Group of Los Angeles News Letter and AACE So. Cal. Chapter
Newsletter. He was a member / Past President of the Association for the
advancement of Cost Engineers (AACE) Southern California Section and was
a Certified Cost Consultant (CCC). The Project Management Institute
(PMI) in the past also certified him as a Project Management
Professional (PMP). Thomas has also carried certifications for
Timberline’s Precision Software as a Trainer / Consultant, and for
Primavera’s SureTrak Software as a Trainer. Training and presentation
subject matter has covered various aspects of the project management
process, including Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and cost /
schedule integration. He has over 23 years of experience with Project
Controls Software and Project Administration.
